Narration In Pursuance Of Books Second Nature (Shape-Shifter #1)
Lesbian Fiction: Shape-Shifter Romance. Novelist Jorie Price doesn't believe in the existence of shape-shifting creatures or true love. She leads a solitary life, and the paranormal romances she writes are pure fiction for her. Griffin Westmore knows better - at least about one of these two things. She doesn't believe in love either, but she's one of the not-so-fictional shape-shifters. She's also a Saru - an elite soldier, investigator, and if need be an assassin with the mission to protect the shape-shifters' secret existence at any cost. When Jorie gets too close to the truth in her latest shape-shifter romance, Griffin is sent to investigate - and if necessary to destroy the manuscript before it's published and to kill the writer.Rating Appertaining To Books Second Nature (Shape-Shifter #1)

I am tail over whiskers in love with this bookYes. It definitely did reach most of my expectations. So I loved it.
Somehow I managed to skip this book and read True Nature first. I'm so glad I went back for it - a truly fantastic read that had me gripped. Jae is a brilliant writer who has taught me alot. This book is witty, amusing, romantic and has enough suspense to keep you on your toes and glued to the pages. I cannot recommend this read highly enough. Thank you Jae for you creativity and beautifully written works.
Jorie Price is a writer of fantasy books, working on her newest project - a book about shape shifters.Griffin Westmore is a real life shape shifter, assigned to stop Jorie from publishing her novel since it comes very close to the reality of their world and might endanger her species. When she realises that there is more to her assignment than trying to stop Jorie from finishing her book, she starts an investigation into her own ministry - a decision that puts her, as well as Jorie's life into
This was one of those books that kept me wandering if this was just fiction or not. I found myself immersed in all pages albeit I was skeptical at the beginning because of the author's choice for creating new words and definitions. But I am glad I went ahead with this book, it flowed so well and I believe that lies evidence that the author invested on a lot of research that matched very well with her make believe.
While this isn't high art--it lacks the pathos that made some of Jae's other books such emotional journeys for me--it is an entertaining paranormal romance with an interesting take on shapeshifters. The book is long enough that it has time to do a lot of both world-building and character-building, giving plenty of time to each, and it establishes a fairly solid romance along the way.On the subject of characters, I really liked Jorie here. While initially presented as something of an introverted
I am not a fan of paranormal stories. There's nothing wrong with them. I just dont like reading about ghosts, zombies, vampires, werewolves, or were-anything. However, I am a fan of the author Jae. When I discovered a story about shape-shifters written by her, I decided to give it a try. I had no idea of what to expect. The first scenes about the Griffin character made me wonder if I had made a mistake. Despite my trepidation, I continued reading. Im glad I did.Jae spends a lot of time building
