Evaluate Epithetical Books Mark of the Plague (The Blackthorn Key #2)
I really like this series. History meets fiction meets mystery. Likable characters.

"This is a terrible idea," Tom said."I didn't even say anything," said Christopher.Every time I read that I get excited to see what scheme Christopher has worked up!The sequel to The Blackthorn Key did not fall sort at all. You fall more in love with the friendship between Christopher and Tom. The plot line was a little bit predictable with who was the villain, but I did get fouled like Christopher and did not excepted the true mastermind.I highly recommend these books to anyone the characters

Huge thank you to Simon & Schuster Canada for this ARC!I LOVED The Blackthorn Key last year, and I still maintain that it is a million times better than Percy Jackson. Kevin Sands knows how to write a dark, twisted tale that still has a sense of wonderment and surprise, and Mark of the Plague definitely continues that trend. There is so much action in this sequel, and I admit I got a little emotionally when the book frequently picked on Tom (he's my favourite). There's a larger mystery

Mark of the Plague continues the story of Christopher Rowe, Benedict Blackthorn's apprentice, as the Black Plague takes hold of London. Christopher is still adjusting to life without his master, and despite having inherited Blackthorn's home and workshop, Christopher is unable to use the skills he has learned to create and sell medicines as he is not a licensed apothecary. Along with his friend Tom, the baker's son, and Sally, a Cripplegate orphan who he has recently been reunited with,

4.5 really! Fantastic finish! Loved it! Can't wait to read #3.

I enjoyed this 2nd book as I did with the 1st!! I loved the mystery of Christophers code-breaking,his crazy Smoke in Your home experiment, how Master Benedict chose Christopher as his apprentice (especially the last part-it made me tear up) & lastly Toms funny comeback quips!I must say that Kevin Sands Blackthorn series is far better than than the Percy Jacksons series..(sorry,fans of Percy) but this is my review & I cant wait to start the 3rd book..

FRIC KIN G WOW
