I did not like the heroine, Darcy, at all. I felt that she was so accepting of the vampires but shunned her own people, the weres. It made her come across as very prejudice, judgemental, and close minded. I like my heroines to be someone I would want to be friends with or at least in some way redeem themselves at the end of the story and this character did none of those things. This was not one of my favorite Ivy books.

If I had read this this series (and Dark Carpathians by Christine Feehan) when I was knew to this PNR/UF genre, I may have enjoyed them more. But after reading Ward, Larissa Ione, Adrian, Ilona Andrews and other similar heavy hitters, I fail to see the strong appeal of this series. It's pretty light and simple.In this novel, the Annaso (Vampire King) Styxx is being challenged by the werewolves, who have left their authorized hunting ground and encroached on other territories.
