When I first opened up L8r G8r by Lauren Myracle, curiously, I found the format very interesting, it's written in the form of a chat box!
"The winsome threesome" is at it again! Zoe, the academic, gets center stage as she explores her relationship with Doug, her boyfriend. She loses her virginity and becomes blinded to her unyielding dedication to this relationship. Angela has a boyfriend too, but is less head over heels, except when he presents her with a Jeep for Valentine's Day. Maddie serves as the stable, support figure, offering advice and a shoulder to cry on. Jana, their arch enemy, is the source and target of pranks by the three friends. The girls finish their senior year with more understanding about who they are, excitement about their futures, and the security of knowing they're only a computer connection away.
You've experienced revenge, love, friendship, and many other themes, haven't you? Have you been in a situation when you have to stick up for your friends and fight back the enemy? Have you ever had the feeling as if you really love someone so much, but you get scared going near them? Well many of these questions relate to L8r G8r by Lauren Myracle. This is the beginning, of the untold and unbreaking relationship between these three.
This is the 3rd, and dare I say final, installment of a series entirely written in IM. First there was TTYL and then TTFN. I love this series. Wordless, as I opened that book, and the drama spilled out. Speechless, when the suspense kept rolling in. Don’t let the unusual format turn you off from a touching, well-written story. Yes, even though you may cringe at the thought of reading all lowercase typing, three different fonts (including blue type), and abbreviations like “cu”, “ur”, "plz" and “g2g”, it’s such a fun story. It’s really a novel in dialogue. Just think of it that way and give it a try.
This book is recommended to young adults. The book has many inappropriate things that 13 years and younger should not read. But overall, this book is wonderful and it really teaches you the meaning of friendship, especially with these three, it basically teaches you that "a friend is someone who knows the song in your heart, and can sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words"- Anonymous and that best friends are not just friends, they're more like sisters. This was the ending, satisfying and content.

On a regular day In English class when one of my classmates showed me the book L8r, g8r by Lauren Myracle. I read a few pages and realized that maybe this is a good book. One thing that really stood out had to be the layout of the book. I'm unsure if the book title stands out that much, but the book is laid out as text messages, which in my opinion is a very creative way to lay out a book. I don't really think that there was any part of the book that really "didn't impress" me, I think that

This is the 3rd book in the series. This was my all time favorite book. So many things had been shown and told. Their was so much drama and boy craziness. I think drama, and all that crazy stuff in high school books makes the book more interesting. That's one of the reasons why I couldn't put it down. They split up for a while because of so much drama but now they are insperable and it makes the story so much better.

I can't fathom why Ms. Myracle chose to start writing these Internet Girls books after writing nice books for teens. I guess she thought she would hop on the chatspeak bandwagon, but just because something is popular doesn't mean it's good. This book is marketed towards the younger teen crowd, but this book (and the series) is rife with chatting about sex and drugs along with useless teen fluff and drama. It saddens me that Ms. Myracle thought that these books were somehow a good idea to write.

Well, I got this book for my daughter, along with the two previous books, and having read this last one I am now a little sorry I did. On the one hand, it is definitely an honest look at high school girls, friendships, and relationships. On the other hand, high school is not always 'appropriate,' which we all should remember from being there. The IM format is certainly an interesting gimmick, and I do appreciate how the author managed to maintain that format believably throughout. My biggest

This book fulfills every negative stereotype about teenage females and females in general. How I had to struggle to finish this! Females are portrayed as gossipy cliques that basically have nothing else going on for them besides talking about thier boyfriends and getting involved in mentally unstable Dynasty(reference to the 1980s tv show)type catfights with the big bad mega bitch of the grade. Please, can't we move beyond this.

I definitely thought I had read this book before, but now I'm not so sure. I definitely read the first two in this series, back when they were new ten years (omg) ago and I was actually the intended audience!
