Ilustration Conducive To Books The Fifth Mountain

A Struggle of the Spirit and a Search for the Truth Written with the same masterful prose and clarity of vision that made The Alchemist an international phenomenon, The Fifth Mountain is Paulo Coelho's inspiring story of the Biblical prophet Elijah. In the ninth century B.C., the Phoenician princess Jezebel orders the execution of all the prophets who refuse to seek safety in the land of Zarephath, where the unexpectedly finds true love with a young widow. But this newfound rapture is to be cut short, and Elijah sees all of his hopes and dreams irrevocably erased as he is swept into a whirlwind of events that threatens his very existence. In what is truly a literary milestone, Coelho gives a quietly moving account of a man touched by the hand of God who must triumph over his frustrations in a soul-shattering trail of faith.

Appraise Of Books The Fifth Mountain
Paulo Coelho; what an amazing writer. He just never disappoints. The book really pulled me in, I took my time with it but completed it in a reasonable amount of time. It's not too long or too short, it's just the right amount of plot and conflict to make it a good read. Actually, scratch that, it was an amazing read. The story is pretty much on this man who is destined to be prophet and lead the people to the right path. He struggles, goes through pain and suffering. He fails much, but the people

Love the quote Fear reaches only to the point where unavoidable begins after that it loses its meaning....loved the theme, the tragedy that happens to us is not punishment but a challenge to our spirit....I dont know whether am not clever enough to understand this book or this book is uninteresting....I dont find this gripping and I got bored while reading...I am a sort of person who quit the book if it doesnt evoke emotions or if I couldnt able to relate to it and I never want to quit this

Do not admire, and do not believe so much; it was a wager I made with myself. I wagered that God exists. 2 stars. Such an interesting premise - a retelling of the biblical story of Elijah. I was excited to find out more about this famous prophet and the ancient lands in which he lived. Despite this I didnt enjoy this story. Nothing really happens - Elijah spends the whole time in inner turmoil and indecisiveness. He falls in love with a woman which just adds to his lack of direction. I was just

A great book to understand god a little better and offcourse how to listen to your heart

Okay, honestly, at first, I was planning to rate it with two stars but the ending was good. So it's good to finish the story first because mostly in Paulo's works, everything will cleared up and be realized at the ending. So why still rated it three? Ahm, because the opening of the story well for me it's not good. Because when I first read it, I was confused of who's who. Elijah, Jezebel, Levite... But, i don't know if I will rate it right and will review it rightly. Since I was reading it bit by

Another crappy book by Coelho... I don't know which bugs me more: his boring, overly simplistic writing style or his problematic, platitude-laden philosophical musings (with which he beats readers black and blue). Some people call Coelho's writing "poetic," but to me his books are about as literary as a Hardy Boys novel. Coelho always tells, never shows; he keeps you emotionally detached from his characters; and everybody in his novels talks in exactly the same way as everyone else. The dialog

Paolo Coelho is definitely one of my top 5 favourite authors. He has set the bar really high with 'The Alchemist', a book I keep going back to for motivation and direction in life. The Fifth Mountain brings into perspective the struggles of a prophet and Paolo does a good job of accentuating the moments of doubt in his sacred journey. The book is great for quotes and notes of wisdom. However, the details can sometime get boring and too dramatic to stick to the pages. The story can sometime be
