Chronicle To Books Forest of the Pygmies (Memories of the Eagle and the Jaguar #3)
Alexander Cold and Nadia Santos reunite for their final adventure in Isabel Allende's celebrated trilogy. This time they are heading to the blazing plains of Kenya, where Alex's grandmother Kate is writing an article about the first elephant-led safaris in Africa. Days into the tour, a Catholic missionary approaches the camp in search of companions who have mysteriously disappeared. As the group investigates, they discover a clan of Pygmies and a harsh world of corruption, slavery, and poaching. Alexander and Nadia must trust in the strength of their totemic animal spirits as they launch a spectacular struggle to restore freedom to the Pygmies and return leadership to its rightful hands.List Books Toward Forest of the Pygmies (Memories of the Eagle and the Jaguar #3)

Out of the entire series, this was the hardest book to get through. I do not remember if I ever finished reading it. I encourage having the first book in a classroom of older students, but the last two in the series is quite difficult to read.Good end to the series
See my review for Kingdom of the golden dragon

The second book in the series is by far my most favorite.. but I like how the series ended a lot ;)
I didn't know this was a book for children when I picked it up. Overall it's not that bad, but it does go over the top quite alot and more intinutive children will be asing questions on which author does not have answers to.
Fast read. Set in jungles of Africa two young explores and their adventurous grandmother journalist expose a violent community ridden with danger and witch craft. A little unbelievable black magic with animal transformations but intriguing plot. Entertaining read.
Non-fantasy parts were fun and exciting. I wish more books for adults were as lively as this YA tale. Why must we plod?
